The Summerlovin’ Retreat in Croatia has truly become a tradition. (That's why we are doing it again in 2019- more info here!)
Every year in June, around summer solstice, we meet on sunny Brac Island, a white-marble jewel in the Adriatic Sea.
In total reverence of Croatia’s spectacular coast, we immerse in Yoga and meditation guided by the inspiring Nina Vukas, the masterful teacher of the many facets of the Yoga practice and philosophy.
This year again, we welcomed new friends and familiar Supersouls who return every year for a week full of soul work and mindful relaxation.
This year, two beautiful weeks unfolded.
Basking in the untamed beauty of the Adriatic Sea.
Shielded by the majestic mountain ranges.
Soothed by the ocean's orchestra.
The morning sea-breeze carried us through flowing Yoga practices, rinsing our moving bodies in what felt like a mandala inspired dance.
The daily garden-to-table meals- picked gently from the earth every morning, and offered on our plates in the form of most yummy healthy vegetarian creations by our incredible chef Lana.
The potent shamanic reiki soul sessions with Jo Lewins were a true opportunity to dive deeper into the process, savoring the intimate connection with the Self.
Every evening a spectacular sunset adorned the meditation sessions- a daily invite to surrender deeper to the sacredness that Mother Nature is.
In the words of one of the retreaters:
To practice yoga by the ocean, guided by such an experienced and inspiring teacher; to eat nourishing vegan food, and spend a week with positive and spontaneous Yoginis who filled the retreat with joy and laughter… I feel immense gratitude! Definetely coming back!
One of our guests wrote a blog post about her time at Summerlovin':
Going on a retreat for me was about giving myself the gift of deeply listening, of clearly seeing, of mindfully moving and feeling myself alive and radiant again. But most of all, I realize now, it was about clearing out the old and creating space for the new in my life.
Below is a glimpse of some precious moments all captured by our Sanjin Kastelan:
